I wired all the terminal blocks so that the basic DC power would be within easy reach from any point on the table. I wired a third terminal on the blocks with the ground wire simply because I didn’t know if I’d ever need it or not. So I’m thinking “two wires and a ground. Hmmm, sounds like how I use a duplex outlet.” So if for some reason I need to separate the tables for moving, all I have to do is unbolt and unplug. This box is fixed inside the main table. The plug is coming from the second table. This is the other end of the second table. In case I build a third, I can plug in right here.
Just a video overview of both tables with the power wiring complete. The tables are NOT bolted together yet at this point. Almost exactly one year later I would realize that I forgot to wire in the lane controlling power to the terminal blocks so that also would be easily available from any point on the table. Unfortunately after a year, the plywood was attached, soundboard glued, primed, and painted. Working on the wiring in the conditions you see in these pictures and videos was so much nicer than doing it underneath a completed table.Just a status picture. Two tables in position but not bolted, power wiring complete, paint and glue waiting in the foreground.
You still got a whole year still to post.
