The Plywood Top on the Main Table

January 6, 2021 / January 9, 2021

As I mentioned (or should have) mentioned before, these are all pictures that I previously posted in Facebook. I did create a photo album but it’s still hard to find old posts if you want to go back and review each one. That’s why I created this blog. All the blog posts up to this point and for a while to go are just recaps of what I’ve already posted so I and others can have one place to go. I have not yet made any current blog posts. I also didn’t make and detailed notes on each picture so I will have to guess the exact stage when it’s not obvious.

The first picture below looks like I simply placed the plywood on the top just to see what it looks like. I don’t see any screws in this one. Now I do see screws in the second picture, at least in the farthest sheet (the one in the corner). By the time of the second picture I don’t think I had started to attach the closer sheet yet.

I did find the text that went with the first picture in Facebook. I think it’s worth repeating:

So now I’m on to phase 3.  I guess I should define the phases:

  1. The base
    1. The frame
    2. The legs
  2. Basic wiring
  3. The top
    1. Plywood
    2. Soundboard
      1. Glue
      2. Seal
      3. Paint
  4. Level and mat the two tables
  5. Enjoy
